Warranty

Warranty Coverage:

Glidetify Electric Scooters come with a 12-month warranty covering parts due to manufacturing defects. If a defect arises during the warranty period, we will repair the product at no charge, exchange it for an equivalent refurbished model, or supply a replacement part if the problem can be isolated and rectified with new parts. Note: A 12-Months warranty is only covered when the product is purchased through this website, any purchase from external dealers is subject to their warranty terms. This is the only updated warranty policy, please refer to this instead of the one on the user manual.

Dead on Arrival:

In the rare event that your scooter arrives defective, we will replace the faulty component, repair the scooter, or provide a replacement unit at no additional charge. If the scooter needs to be returned, we will provide a prepaid return label once we've confirmed. If a replacement component is necessary and the scooter must be sent to our Brisbane office, shipping it off will be the responsibility of the customer.

What's Not Covered:

Items damaged through misuse of the scooter; including dropping, collisions, jumps, grinding, heavy shaking, abrasion, or improper storage.
Normal wear and tear usage, including issues related to tires, worn brakes, loosening joints, scratches, dents, broken plastic, and battery lifespan.
Damage due to water ingress, as our items are protected against dust and moisture but are not entirely waterproof.
Modifications to the product's software/firmware or any alterations from factory settings.
If the warranty period has expired.
If proper maintenance or scheduled servicing has not been performed.
If the warranty or serial label has been tampered with or removed.
Overloading the scooter beyond its designed maximum load capacity.
Unauthorized opening or tampering with the scooter by any unauthorized person.

To Claim Warranty:

To initiate a warranty claim, please submit details of the issue list below through our Contact Us section on the website, and a team member will follow up directly with the next steps.

You’ll need the receipt or proof of purchase and authorisation from the service department for a repair, please contact us through contact@glidetify.com to start a warranty claim. Once authorised we will send you the details of the repair centre to drop the items off to for repairs. Warranty repair dropoff usually takes between 1-5 days.

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return or warranty claim will not be accepted.

Battery-Related Issues:
Lithium-ion batteries are consumable products and may lose charge capacity over time. Tips on prolonging the life of your battery can be found here. While defective batteries are rare, they are covered under our 12-month warranty. If you suspect your battery is defective—unable to be charged or operated in the scooter—please upload photos of the battery's serial number through our contact form. We might require additional photo or video proof, to further understand the appropriate action to take.

Extended Warranty:
An extended warranty is soon available for purchase at checkout or within 30 days after your purchase. For more details on the extended warranty and instructions on how to submit a claim, please see above.

Warranty on Repairs / Replacements: Any repairs or replacements performed by Glidetify on a product beyond our manufacturer's 12-month warranty will carry a limited 90-day warranty. This covers defects related to the specific components that were repaired or replaced.

For customers experiencing issues that fall outside the warranty period, we are still here to help. Spare parts can be purchased directly from our online store, and we provide detailed instructions for replacing common components.
